Expiring Things is a free-to-use, Android-based productivity app that helps you keep track of your inventory, specifically focusing on expiration dates and quantities. Developed by Bluemirrs 11, this app offers a user-friendly interface that allows you to store and retrieve information about your products quickly and easily.
With Expiring Things, you can add products with their name, category, initial and remaining quantity, storage location, expiration date, purchase date, opened date, price, and notes. Only the name and category fields are mandatory, while the other fields are optional. You can also add products by choosing from a list of previously entered products, cloning an existing one, or scanning their barcode.
This app allows you to view products grouped by categories or storage location, emphasizing their expiration date or remaining quantity. You can sort products by name, expiration date, purchase date, opened date, or remaining quantity. You can also search for products by name or part of it. Additionally, you can receive notifications when a product is about to expire, and you can upload and download your product list to/from Dropbox. Exporting and importing data files are also possible for backup/restore purposes.
